Folkart Izmir Cup doubles title went to Indian Seketh Myneni and Divij Sharan.
First championship title of 2015 Folkart İzmir Cup was determined in the warm Saturday evening in İzmir. Indian pair Saketh Myneni and Divij Sharan, 3rd seed of the tournament, won the title by beating Malek Jaziri and Denis Molchanov in the final.
After one hour 42 mins play, Malek Jaziri pulled out from the final on the match point. When Divij Sharan preparing to serve in 9/8 at the match tie-break, Jaziri requested medical time-out. After receiving a treatment, he decided to pulled out from the final, that caused Indians won the match by retirement, despite his 'regular' win only one point away on the 7-6, 4-6, 9/8.
Divij Sharan, who owns one ATP World Tour title in Bogota this year, claimed his 8th ATP Challenger doubles title as his partner took his fourth. On the other side, Malek Jaziri lost his third Izmir Cup final in second consecutive year while he lost both championship matches last year.
After the final, Turkish Tennis Federation president Cengiz Durmuş alongside with Folkart Construction General Manager Metin Sancak presented to winner's cups and cheques in the ceremony.
